butter LONDON- Royal Navy

I got this polish as part of a pack of three on black friday :)  The pack was supposed to sell for $42, but I got it for $30, so I thought it was a pretty good deal :)  Anyway, this is Royal Navy, a gorgeous dark navy creme.  Application was really nice.  It took me a second to get used to the BL brush, which is why I flooded my pointer finger.  After that, application way easy breezy.  Two coats:

I really like dark blues, and this one is definitely up there!  I really, really love it :)

Keep an eye out for an upcoming giveaway ;)

China Glaze-Life Preserver

This has been a polish that I have been wanting since February!!  For some reason, I could never find it...anywhere!!!  For my b-day, I got a gift card to Ulta from Mr. NbC's mommy, so I decided to use part of it to order LP!!  Now, I'm not big on orange polish, but this one has spoken to me since the first time I saw swatches of it :)  This is two coats, topped with China Glaze Fast Forward:

In dim lighting, this polish takes on a kind of rusty hue, but these photos show what it looks like most of the time.  The formula is awesome (as with all CG cremes) and the wear was also good.
This is by far my all time favorite orange!

Ugh, and I busted off my pinky nail, as you can see.  I've got a little nub!

Essie-Lady Like

Happy Pink Wednesday!  I have a really soft pink for you guys today.  It's Essie's Lady Like from the Brand New Bag collection!  I adore this color :)  It's a super soft pink with some purple tones.  I would say it's borderline nude, as well.  Two coats was good for this polish, even though the first coat was kind of patchy.  Topped it off with a coat of SV.

I think it's so classy and feminine :)

Orly-Paris Promedade

YOU GUYSSSS.  I am so sorry I've been completely MIA for the last week.  Ugh, I feel gross about myself.  But I was up to my eyeballs with stuff to do.  Thursday was my birthday/I had an exam/I had to work, and it just went from there.  I had family visiting and couldn't do my nails or blog :(  But I'm back!!  And today I have Orly's Paris Promenade on guest fingers!!  My mom, Betty, was kind enough to loan me her nails :)  She wanted a bloody color for her halloween costume, and this is what she picked off of my wheels:

Paris Promendade is a medium to dark red creme that is slightly on the sheer side.  Application was pretty good, as with all of my old Orly's, but you can see some slight pulling on her middle finger in the second photo.  Overall, I liked how it turned out on her against her skin tone (more olive than my own).

Thanks for sticking with me, ladies!

Essie-Power Clutch

This is Power Clutch, fom Essie's fall 2011 collection.  She's a gorgeous medium grey creme with a bit of an unusual greenish tinge to it.  I didn't like this one at first, but it grew on me the more I looked at the bottle and when I put it on my nails, I loved it! Formula is awesome, this was only one coat topped with SV:

ELF-Nude

ELF Nude is one of those polishes that you think will look good on you in the bottle, but is dissapointing on the nail.  At least for me and my skin tone.  I got some major lobster hands!!  Formula was good, however, and I would recommend this for people with a warmer skin tone than I have.  Two coats and super shiny even without topcoat.  Pictures!

What do you guys think of this one?  I like it, just not on me :)

Orly-Naughty

Naughty is just as the name would imply...naughty!!  It is a very dark burgundy with an ever so lovely creme-jelly finish.  Application was lovely, as with all of my oldie-but-goodie Orlys :) I included four pictures to show off the great depth to this polish.  Two coats:

This type of color is super on-trend for this fall, so I'm excited to have such a great one in my collection!

Sally Hansen-Petal Pusher

Since it's nearing the end of summer, I thought I'd show you guys a light pastel before the cooler weather starts to set in :)  This is Petal Pusher from the SH Insta Dri line.  A light pastel pink bordering on a creamy white.  The first time I swatched this I hated it, but I also wasn't very good at getting an even application.  The second time around, I got it a bit more even and I liked it.  I used three coats, no topcoat:

This color looks so classy on any skin tone, in my opinion.  Just light enough to not make me look like I have mannequin hands (and I'm super pale), so that's a plus.  Let me know what you think about this one!!

NYX Girls-Dark Gray

This color is soooooo pretty for fall.  A dark smokey gray with a creme finish.  I l.o.v.e. it.  Application is really nice, almost a one coater, but not quite.  These photos are sans topcoat:

Definitely has a blue undertone to it, which I like.  I think this is gonna be a really trendy fall/winter color...what do you think??

100 follower celebration nails!!!

I'm so excited to share that I have reached 100 followers!!  To celebrate, I did some festive nail art :)  I used a base of ChG For Audrey and dotted with SC Verbena and Unicorn.  Topped it all off with a thick coat of Seche Vite.  I think it looks so festive!

Wet'n'Wild-Blazed

This color is stunning.  A bright coral creme :)  I did have a couple of application issues with this one, though.  This was three coats with the last one being quite thick.  Definitely worth it for the color, though!  No topcoat in these pictures:

Sorry I haven't been around much the last couple of days.  I was out of town at the last minute for two days and didn't have much internet access.  Also, I'm working a TON the next few days so I may miss a day or two.  Trust me though, I'm planning a major swatchathon when I have days off!  Also, while I was out of town I hit the polish jackpot!  I came back with 30+ polishes and didn't have to pay a cent!!  Talk about lucky!  They were all polishes that I had at my parents' and forgot about, plus I got a free one from Ulta as well :D

China Glaze-Secret Peri-winkle

Secret Peri-winkle is my current summer favorite polish!!  For some reason, I can't get enough of dusty periwinkle colors lately.  This and Smooth Sailing by Essie have been drawing my eye almost every time I change my polish.  I love the formula of this one, too.  Thin and smooth and only two coats to opacity.

I love konading over this one, too.  So pretty.

Sally Hansen-Gray Area

Today it is gloomy and rainy where I live, so I thought I'd post this for you guys!  Gray Area is a GORGEOUS dark grayed out smokey purple creme.  The purple almost gets lost in the darkness, but it's still there, especially in sunlight.  I can't wait for fall to come so I can wear this one more regularly :)  Formula is great.  You could almost get away with one coat, but I needed the second just to even everything out.

Pretty, right?  I think so :)

Sorry about my cuticle injury :/ I've been washing my hands a lot more than usual in the last three weeks since I started working again.  Also, when I went to change my polish yesterday, I noticed that I had a big split right down the middle of my right middle finger!  I had to take my nails all the way down to the quick :(  You may think my nails look short in these photos, but you should see them now!  They literally look like nubs. Ugh.  The tips of my fingers are kind of sensitive as well because my nails aren't there to protect them.  They'll grow back, but I miss them :(

How's the weather where you are? Bright and sunny?

China Glaze-Flip Flop Fantasy

This is for real one of the most neon polishes I have ever seen.  The photos don't even do it justice.  Like any true neon, the formula was really iffy.  It was streaky and pulled a lot.  took two thin coats plus one thick coat to even everything out.  Of course, neons dry matte, so topcoat is a must, imo.  I used Out the Door:

Doesn't this color just scream summer at you?  Like, I want to lounge by the pool and maybe sip a cocktail  at the beach?  It does to me, anyway.  Of all neon polishes, I think I like pinks the best...not sure why.  This one has a slight coral touch to it as well.  I think it's beautifully unique :)

What do you guys think of this one/neons in general?

Sally Hansen-Sheer Me Now

Sheer Me Now is a nice light beige sheer creme from the Complete Salon Manicure line.  Application takes patience on this one.  Each coat needs to be completely dry or you'll get a lot of cuticle pull.  Also, It takes at least three coats to get it even.  There are a couple of thin spots in these photos after three coats, if that tells you anything.  These photos are without topcoat:

The color is so nice, but application is easy.  At least with the CSM brush, it's a little easier to get the brush strokes even.
What do you guys think of this color?

ELF-Smokey Brown

Smokey Brown is a gorgeous smokey taupey brown.  I have always loved this color, and I don't have anything like it.  It doesn't hurt that it's only $1 on the ELF website!  This color is perpetually sold out (like most of their polishes) but I managed to get my hands on one and I love it!  These photos are two coats, no topcoat:

Gorgeous, right?  Very classy :)  I've been meaning to order some more ELF polishes, but like I said, they're always sold out!  Tell me what you think of colors like this!

China Glaze-Shower Together

Shower Together was one of the first polishes I got when I started building my collection.  I saw it on a girl in a YouTube video and fell in love.  The color is kind of a dark tealish blue creme.  Application is gorgeous and smooth.  Typical CG creme formula.  The only real qualm I have about this one is that is stains like CRAZY.  A really good base coat is definitely a must.  Sometimes I'll do two coats of base coat if it's not a base coat that I usually use/am used to/know will protect my nails from the color.  These photos are 2 coats, no topcoat:

Isn't she just beautiful?? Lovely summer color.

Sinful Colors-Verbena

First off, don't forget to click HERE to enter my giveaway!!  Now onto the review :)

Verbena is a gorgeously pigmented, slightly dusty, red-toned purple creme.  I can't get over how lovely the color is.  Great for all year round, in my opinion :)  It's fun enough to wear in the spring/summer, but dusty and toned down just enough to make it appropriate for fall and winter as well.  Application was stunning.  Opaque and even slightly jellyish in two smooth coats.  These photos are two coats topped with Seche Vite:

My camera wouldn't pick up the warmth of this purple and it looks a bit more blue here than it really is.
I think I'm in love :)
I wore this for three days through 2 long work shifts and it never chipped.  I got some tip wear, but that's to be expected.

Love you, readers!

Sally Hansen-Pacific Blue

Pacific Blue is a gorgeous, vibrant blue creme from the Xtreme Wear collection.  You don't see blue polishes with this much pigmentation and vibrancy every day!  I've been really into creme finishes lately, and this one is so summery!  It makes me think of going for a swim :)  Formula was awesome, 2 easy coats.  These photos are sans topcoat:

My nail beds are still jacked.  I lightly buffed them a bit, so now polish goes on more smoothly and I started using Nail Magic Base Coat Therapy, which is supposed to help with peeling and flaking.  I'm still welcoming any suggestions :)

Also, I went shopping for my giveaway!!! I have the post all written out and everything cuz I'm so excited!  Only 4 more followers till I post it up :)  I love you all <3

Finger Paints-Primary Color

Primary Color is a gorgeous red jelly-creme finish polish.  It's extremely well pigmented!  I was blown away by how smooth the polish went on and how gorgeous it looked even after just one coat!  I was extra surprised because I picked this one up at Sally Beauty for only 99 cents.  It's on sale at their website for $1.99, but they were having a half price sale at the store near my house and they happened to have two in stock.  I figured they were so discounted because no one bought them/they were low quality, but damn, is this polish awesome!  These photos are two coats, no topcoat:

My camera tends to freak out when I photograph reds, but these photos are fairly color accurate, especially the first one.  It's a very true red, not too orange toned, but not too blue toned either.  Perfectly in the middle :)  I also apologize for the state of my cuticles.  I've been trying to baby them!

Also, same question as yesterday:  how do I mend my jacked up nail beds???!!  They're flaking and peeling up in the middle of the nail!  Eeek!

Thanks for reading :D
