I decided to try my hand at a cloud manicure a la Nailside. I always admire her manicures, and while I can't get anywhere close to her talent level, I can't resist trying out one of her tutorials every once in a while :) So here's my interpretation of a funky cloud mani:
You guys would not believe how time consuming this is!! It takes ages to layer all the colors, get the shapes right, etc.. but I like the end result. Because of all the layers, this took AGES to dry and I got tipwear/shrinking right away. I had to wrap my tips again right before I took these photos so it wouldn't look gross.
Anyway, the white is Zoya Purity, the orange is CG Life Preserver, and the purpley gray is Ulta Smoke Screen. I like the color combination. It even looks kind of tribal-ish to me. Let me know what you guys think! What color combos would look nice with this mani?

Sally Hansen-Sunrise, Sunset
Sunrise, Sunset is a beautiful orange polish with an awesome subtle teal shimmer throughout it. I found it on clearance at Walgreens, and it caught my eye right away. It's so unusual and unlike anything else I have in my collection so I had to have it. This is three coats, as it it kind of sheer:
You should probably click to enlarge to see the teal-y shimmer. It's a little hard to capture in photos. This one is kind of frosty, and I should have been more careful with my application, but it came out kind of brush-strokey. I definitely love this color, and next time I wear it, I'll be more careful with my brush strokes.
What do you all think?

Wet n' Wild-24 Karats
This one is another from the Ice Baby collection from W'n'W. This one is unusual becuase it contains mostly bar glitter. In fact, this is the one and only bar glitter that I have in my collection. It has yellow gold and orange glitter in it, which gives the polish a very warm feel, which is perfect for the fall and winter months. I layered it over Orly Rage to get a more opaque look.
The shade pictures really do it more justice that the sun ones. I'm definitely gonna experiment with this one for some christmas manis!
Have you entered my giveaway yet?? There's a link in the top right of my blog :)

China Glaze-Life Preserver
This has been a polish that I have been wanting since February!! For some reason, I could never find it...anywhere!!! For my b-day, I got a gift card to Ulta from Mr. NbC's mommy, so I decided to use part of it to order LP!! Now, I'm not big on orange polish, but this one has spoken to me since the first time I saw swatches of it :) This is two coats, topped with China Glaze Fast Forward:
In dim lighting, this polish takes on a kind of rusty hue, but these photos show what it looks like most of the time. The formula is awesome (as with all CG cremes) and the wear was also good.
This is by far my all time favorite orange!
Ugh, and I busted off my pinky nail, as you can see. I've got a little nub!

Wet'n'Wild-Blazed
This color is stunning. A bright coral creme :) I did have a couple of application issues with this one, though. This was three coats with the last one being quite thick. Definitely worth it for the color, though! No topcoat in these pictures:
Sorry I haven't been around much the last couple of days. I was out of town at the last minute for two days and didn't have much internet access. Also, I'm working a TON the next few days so I may miss a day or two. Trust me though, I'm planning a major swatchathon when I have days off! Also, while I was out of town I hit the polish jackpot! I came back with 30+ polishes and didn't have to pay a cent!! Talk about lucky! They were all polishes that I had at my parents' and forgot about, plus I got a free one from Ulta as well :D

Sinful Colors-Courtney Orange
The reason why I got this color is obvious...the name! How could I pass up a color named Courtney Orange?? Yeah, it's spelled differently than my name, but it's basically still the same, right?? Anyway, CO is a bright orange shimmer. Application was pretty good. A little sheer, so three coats were needed to achieve full opacity. These photos are without topcoat.
I'm typically not a huge fan of orange polish, but I can tolerate this one because of how bright and fun it is. It also has shimmer, so that's a plus. I would definitely recommend this polish if you are an orange lover!
Let me know what you think!

Nails of Last Month...
Sally Hansen's Lacy Lilac
This color is beautiful! Not my typical style, but great for spring. It is a cream finish that is completely opaque in 2 thin coats. The only bad thing about this formulation is that it can get a bit chunky, as you can see from my cuticle area.Sally Hansen's Commander in Chic
Sorry about the poor lighting in this picture...This color is, just as the bottle says, chic. It's a taupey-purple-greyish-brown type color. It looks a little drab in the bottle, but on the nails it's amazing. Opaque in 2 coats.Sinful Colors' Courtney Orange
When I saw this color at my local Walgreens, I had to pick it up. It is called Courtney Orange, after all. I wasn't terribly impressed with the color or formulation, but for those who love orange polish, I think this might be a winner.
Sinful Colors' Mint Apple
Now this is one gorgeous color. I'm not usually a pastel lover, but this color is so dimensional. It has silver shimmer and a jelly-like base. So gorgeous. The formulation is meh, 2 thick coats is what I had on in the picture. I'm definitely going to be wearing this one often this spring :)
