Wet n' Wild-I Need a Refresh-Mint

This is one of Wet'n'Wild's polishes from the Megalast collection. I haven't been able to find these anywhere near where I live until this past week when they showed up in my local Walgreens. I was really excited, too, because they were on sale buy 2 get 1 free. So, naturally, I picked up three. The colors I got are On a Trip, Candy-licious and I Need a Refresh-Mint. Today I have the last one for you guys :)

This color is almost and exact dupe for For Audrey from China Glaze.  For Audrey is the slightest bit more green, but if you have FA, I would skip on this one (or vice versa).  I have no complaints about the formula, but the brush...the brush is...giant.  On the cap it says it has a "manicurve pro brush" (perhaps trying their hand at the Pro Wide?).  It's humongous.  I have pretty wide nail beds and the brush is almost too wide for them.  If you have more narrow nail beds, this brush will not work for you.  It took me quite a few tries to get used to the shape and size of the brush.  Also, it barely fits in the neck of the bottle, so going back for more polish is kind of a pain.
Let me know what you think about the brushes in these particular polishes!

Thanks for stopping by!

Avon-Teal Wing N

Here's another Avon from forever ago...or just three or so years.  I don't really get the name, but the color is pretty!  It's a bit sheer, even at two coats, but it's even, so I didn't mind much.  No topcoat in these photos:

It almost has a foil finish, but its not quiiiite there.  Do any of you guys have this one??  Let me know what you think :)  Till next post, my lovelies!

100 follower celebration nails!!!

I'm so excited to share that I have reached 100 followers!!  To celebrate, I did some festive nail art :)  I used a base of ChG For Audrey and dotted with SC Verbena and Unicorn.  Topped it all off with a thick coat of Seche Vite.  I think it looks so festive!

I want to take the time to say THANK YOU to all of my subscribers!!  I wouldn't keep writing if it weren't for you.  I always appreciate all of the supportive comments you guys leave me and it lets me know that I'm making an impact on someone :)  100 followers is a huge milestone for me and I'm beyond grateful for every one of you.  I also want to say hello to my newer followers and that I hope you'll enjoy it here!  I always end every post with a <3 and I truly mean it every time.  I love you guys!

China Glaze-Shower Together

Shower Together was one of the first polishes I got when I started building my collection.  I saw it on a girl in a YouTube video and fell in love.  The color is kind of a dark tealish blue creme.  Application is gorgeous and smooth.  Typical CG creme formula.  The only real qualm I have about this one is that is stains like CRAZY.  A really good base coat is definitely a must.  Sometimes I'll do two coats of base coat if it's not a base coat that I usually use/am used to/know will protect my nails from the color.  These photos are 2 coats, no topcoat:

Isn't she just beautiful?? Lovely summer color.

Wet'n'Wild-Teal of Fortune

This is one of those colors that catches your eye immediately when you're walking past the polish section in a store.  It just screams 'you have to have me! I'm so shiiinnnyyy!'.  And let me tell you, it does not disappoint on the nail.  At first I thought it was just a basic glittery teal, but after looking closer, I thought I saw flakies!  I mattified it to get a better look and sure enough!  Itty-bitty flakies!  I was so excited :)  These photos are two coats, first topped with SV, then with Hard Candy mattifying topcoat.
enlarge this photo to see the gloriousness up close and personal!

do you see the tiny flakies!?

I have to say, I didn't think I'd like this polish because of the base color.  Boy was I wrong.  Gorgeous.  Also, colors like this usually stain on me, but this one didn't.  The brush was a bit wonky, but I think I got a dud because my other Wet'n'Wild insta dry's have pretty decent brushes.
Overall verdict:  totally pick this up if you don't already have it!!  It's definitely an under appreciated beauty :)

Love you all :D
