Sally Hansen-Wedding Crasher

Wedding Crasher is a beautiful pink glitter in a fuscia jelly base.  Believe me, you guys, this is definitely one that you'll want to pick up :)  It's definitely one that needs to be layered unless you like the look of a jelly glitter.  I took so many pictures of this one, but just COULDN'T get one to come out right.  My camera would not focus on this one no matter what I did!  Anyway, here she is with no topcoat:

I layered her over ELF Cranberry to up the base color.  So overall, this is two coats of Cranberry and three coats of Wedding Crasher.  While it's a lot of coats, I think it's totally worth it.  So, so pretty :)

I should try layering this beauty over black, that would be sassy!

ELF-Cranberry

I love this color, you guys.  It's so sexy and deep and winter-y.  It's really rich, and I can't stop staring at it!  Pretty good for only a couple of bucks.  This was two coats, but I could have gotten away with one.  So far, all of the polishes that I've tried from ELF have been awesome!

Again, I'm still adjusting my new lighting, so bear with my photos :)

ELF-Dark Navy

Today I have for you the last of my ELF polishes.  This one is Dark Navy, and, as you can imagine, it is a dark navy!  It has lots of beautiful blue shimmer in it, as well.  Formula on this one, as with all my ELFs, is good and is completely smooth and opaque after two coats.

And don't forget that my contest is closing tonight!!  Be sure to get any last minute entries in before it's too late!

ELF-Coral

Coral is my second favorite of all of my ELF polishes.  It's a gorgeous coral base with beautiful gold shimmer running throughout.  When I first got this one, the brush was really jacked up.  I've never had problems with the ELF brushes before, so this one was just a dud.  I had to remove all the polish from the brush and re-shape it carefully with scissors for it to apply polish properly.  Anyway, it was worth it for me because the formula is good and the color is gorgeous!  This one dries to a satin-ish finish so topcoat is a must for me.  Especially since it brings out the shimmer so awesomely!

Puuurrrty.  I really dig it.

Don't forget!  There are only a few days left to enter my contest :)

ELF-Champagne and contest update

Champagne is a very classy and elegant nude with subtle shimmer.  This is one of my go-to nudes and is perfect for wearing something understated on the nails.  The formula is the tiniest bit sheer after two coats, but I didn't mind with the color.  It made it look a bit more natural.  Two coats is what is shown in the pictures and application is smooth.  No topcoat.

The first picture is the most color accurate.  For some reason, the sun makes this one photograph a little on the orangey-red side of the spectrum.  Hm...

UPDATE: Also, don't forget to stop by my contest!  It ends soon, so hurry!!  I also wanted to say that because of the lack of eligible entries, I may be limiting this contest to one prize (the Zoyas).  Please keep entering if you want there to be more prizes :)

ELF-Sunset

Sunset is a gorgeous medium toned mauvey-purple with silver shimmer.  I don't have anything else like it in my collection and I love it :)  Formula is really good.  A tiny bit thick, but not problematic at all.  Very nearly a one-coater (probably could be if I was more careful).  No topcoat in these pictures:

A lot of people have been asking me where I get my ELF products.  I order all of my polishes from www.eyeslipsface.com, usually while they're having a bogo sale or free shipping.  I order most of the makeup online, too, but sometimes I can find stuff I like at my local Target.  I have never found polishes at Target, though :(

Do any of you guys have this one?  Do you like it?

ELF-Party Purple

Continuing on with my ELFs, I have Party Purple.  This is BY FAR my favorite ELF polish of all time.  I was really impressed with how deep and rich the color is as well as how good application was.  The formula is great, and this is one of the old formula polishes.  Two coats to shimmery perfection:

You should definitely click on these photos to see the goodness up close :)  If you can only pick up one ELF polish, I highly recommend this one.  If you're a purple lover, you'll love this!

ELF-Nude

ELF Nude is one of those polishes that you think will look good on you in the bottle, but is dissapointing on the nail.  At least for me and my skin tone.  I got some major lobster hands!!  Formula was good, however, and I would recommend this for people with a warmer skin tone than I have.  Two coats and super shiny even without topcoat.  Pictures!

What do you guys think of this one?  I like it, just not on me :)

ELF-Blush

Hey everybody!!  I'm baaack! Lol.

Aaannnyway, this is Blush by ELF.  First off, I would definitely not call this anything implying that it is blush colored, because it's most definitely not.  Second, when I made this order from eyeslipsface.com, I noticed that they had raised the price of their polish to $2 (a whole dollar, gasp!!) because they had improved the formula.  When I recieved my shipment, only 4 of my 7 bottles had a "new formula!" sticker on them.  This one happened to be one of them.  The other three bottles did not have the stickers.  The formula in the bottles with the stickers was slightly thicker and a bit more opaque.  Also, the biggest thing I noticed was that in the bottles with the stickers, there were new brushes!!  They are bigger and a bit more flat (think OPI) so that you can apply the polish with less strokes.  The bottles without stickers had the old brushes.  All of this makes me think that I got the old $1 formula in three bottles, but still payed for the $2 formula...kind of irks me.  Anyway, application was good on this one.  Two coats.  Not sure what happened there near my cuticle, but it smudged somehow.

I'm not sure how to feel about the color...I don't find it very flattering on my skin tone.  The shade pictures looked nicer, however.  Be forwarned that this one is a tiny bit frosty.  I should have been a bit more careful in my application, but alas, such is life.

Have any of you ordered from ELF lately only to find that they jipped you with old formula polishes?  (Not that the old formula was bad, I'm just ticked that they're trying to sell that one at the new formula price)

Elegant and Feminine

I wanted to stop by today to post a quick mani I did a while back.  I haven't done any new ones since I got hurt, so this is all I got :)  I actually really like it, it reminds me of old wallpaper, but in a good way.  I started with a base of ELF Sunset and then stamped with one of my BM plates (don't remember which, sorry!).  This was the result:

I'm healing up nicely.  It's been three days and most of the bad punctures are starting to close up now, which is good news for polishing!!  Thank you guys for all of your support and lovely comments, you all made me feel so much better!  I'll be back in full force soon, so stay tuned!!!

Thanks loves!

it's haul time!!!

I was so excited for today's nail mail!  I was expecting both my ELF order as well as my Bundle Monsters.  They both came!  Eeeee!

The ELF polishes are L-R:
Nude
Champagne
Blush
Coral
Sunset
Party Purple
Dark Navy

ELF has supposedly reformulated their polishes.  We shall see :)  Also, only four of my bottles have a label that says it has the new formula.  These bottles also have much nicer looking brushes!  I'm excited to try them all out.
I also recieved my BM 21 pack!!  You have no idea how pumped I am for this.  I've been wanting the 21 pack for ages, and it's finally mine!  The stamping possibilities are endless!

Thanks for reading, loves!

ELF-Smokey Brown

Smokey Brown is a gorgeous smokey taupey brown.  I have always loved this color, and I don't have anything like it.  It doesn't hurt that it's only $1 on the ELF website!  This color is perpetually sold out (like most of their polishes) but I managed to get my hands on one and I love it!  These photos are two coats, no topcoat:

Gorgeous, right?  Very classy :)  I've been meaning to order some more ELF polishes, but like I said, they're always sold out!  Tell me what you think of colors like this!
Also, don't forget to enter my giveaway (link in top right of blog)!!

ELF-Moonlight

I have heard that ELF polishes are hit or miss.  I only have a couple, so I can't really testify to that, but I do know that the couple I have are hits!  This one is moonlight, a silvery shimmer with a touch of beige.  The finish is just a tad frosty, but not enough to make application horrible.  I left this at two coats, which was a bit sheer, and you can see some vnl in these shots.  Three coats would take care of that.  I think this is such a classy color.  It's feminine and has just enough sheen to be fun :)

I kind of like this one on the sheer side.  Not sure why, just do :)

Lemme know what you think
Love you guys <3
