Firstly, go on over and enter my contest...you know you want to!!!
My first splatter! I used a white base and SC San Fransisco, SH Time to Shine and W'n'W Blue Moon. I used a thin coffee stirrer straw to do the splattering. I liked the thin straw because it prevented me from completely blobbing polish all over the place (which still happened a bit). Then topped it off with SH Insta Dri Topcoat:
I really like how this one turned out. Especially for my first time. Definitely going to try this again with different colors/combinations. What do you guys think? And let me know what your favorite color combos are for splatters so I can try them out!
Thanks!

Did you tape off around your fingers to prevent a mess? I'd like more detail on how you did this! They look awesome :)
ReplyDeleteDana, I didn't tape off which is another reason that I wanted to use a smaller straw. It didn't get TOO messy, so I was able to easily clean up my skin with a q-tip and acetone.
ReplyDeleteThat looks really neat!! I still haven't been brave enough to try it because I'm not 100% how to work the whole sucking nail polish into a straw and such. =P I think it might look really neat either neon or pastel rainbow! =D
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing for a first attempt! Good job and cool choice of colors :)
ReplyDeleteThis is great. I have not tried this yet! I really need to! The colors you picked are AMAZING together!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower! yey! OMG this splatter is different from what i saw on youtube. this one is more realistic splatter.. hehehe.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out really awesome!
